WCW TV ad calls out abuse of “friendly” dogs at Cleveland VA lab

WCW recently sued the Stokes Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio (Cleveland VA) for refusing to release details about its deadly taxpayer-funded experiments on dozens of “friendly,” “shy” and “submissive” dogs, even hound puppies less than a year-old. The lawsuit followed a WCW exposé revealing that the Cleveland VA is one of only three VA facilities still conducting painful experiments on dogs, and that the facility killed dogs that it told the media it “adopted out.”

Now, as reported by Cleveland.com, we’re fighting this waste, secrecy, and abuse with a hard-hitting TV ad campaign.  Here’s the commercial we’re running in Cleveland on FOX News, MSNBC, CNN and ESPN and other networks:

Help stop the VA from using your money to abuse and kill friendly dogs. Urge your Congress members to support the bipartisan PUPPERS Act to end taxpayer funding for the most painful dog experiments at the VA.

This is immoral!

End taxpayer funding of animal experimentation. It’s a cruel practice and a waste of money.

This cruelty is so sickening and doesn’t cure anyone!

This torture of innocent animals has to stop

I don’t want my tax dollars spent on cruel animal testing! This needs to end now!!!
