As part of the bipartisan Endless Frontier Act, the Senate unanimously passed Sens. Braun and Hawley’s amendment to declassify U.S. intelligence about connections between the Wuhan animal lab and the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Top scientists and intelligence experts now agree with us that the COVID-19 pandemic could likely have been caused by a leak at the notorious, U.S. taxpayer-funded Wuhan Animal Lab. A staggering 77 percent of taxpayers want the lab leak hypothesis investigated, and lawmakers are taking notice and taking action.

Now, 2020 WCW Waste Warrior awardee Senator Mike Braun (R-IN) and Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) have introduced a new bill, the COVID Origin Act of 2021, to “declassify intelligence related to any potential links between the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) and the origins of the Covid pandemic.”

We’ve told you before how the National Institutes of Health was secretively funding dangerous the Wuhan Animal Lab’s experiments on bats and “humanized mice” to supercharge coronaviruses to make them deadlier and more contagious.

As WCW and Sen. Joni Ernst explained in our recent Newsweek op-ed, the State Department warned repeatedly that these experiments could cause a pandemic, and has reported other concerns about the lab. House members have has also pressed the NIH about its funding of the Wuhan lab and what it knew about safety concerns that were raised. This new Senate bill would ensure all of this information is fully disclosed.

As Sen. Hawley explained, “The world needs to know if this pandemic was the product of negligence at the Wuhan lab but the CCP has done everything it can to block a credible investigation.”

Hawley and Braun’s bill follows other Congressional efforts, including a key Senate panel advanced other bipartisan legislation that would commission a report on COVID’s origins, including an examination of the lab leak hypothesis and the NIH’s funding of the Wuhan Animal Lab.

Please take a moment to tell Congress you want them to pass the COST Act so you can see how your money is being spent, hold animal experimenters accountable, and prevent future pandemics.
