From Laos to Wuhan: WCW FOIA Investigation Sheds Light on Pandemic’s Origins

The origins of Covid-19 and the lab leak hypothesis remain a hot topic of debate for scientists, policymakers, and news junkies alike.

WCW has done two Congressional briefings about the evidence in favor of a leak from animal labs at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (watch them here and here!). We think the case is strong…and now, it’s getting even stronger, thanks to emails received by WCW via Freedom of Information Act requests.

Our recent discovery has rocked the scientific community.

Here’s how The Spectator puts it:

This September, a virus named Banal-52 was found in a bat in Laos. (Bats ‘hold’ coronaviruses in their bodies without getting sick). This virus was a 96.8% match to SARS-CoV-2. It wasn’t a perfect match, but it did mean that there were bats, from places other than Wuhan, that carried coronaviruses VERY similar to Covid-19. Previously, the 96.2% similar RaTG13 bat virus found in China was the closest match. Detractors of the lab leak hypothesis pounced on this as evidence that the pandemic didn’t originate in Wuhan.

But then we discovered the smoking gun.

Remember EcoHealth Alliance? The shady, lawbreaking nonprofit doing risky gain-of-function experiments on coronaviruses at the Wuhan animal lab?

Yeah…those guys.

In emails we obtained via FOIA, between EHA and NIAID (Dr. Fauci’s agency!), EcoHealth Alliance discussed collecting viruses from bats in countries that neighbor China, including Burma, Vietnam, Cambodia…and Laos.

But that’s not even the smokiest part of the smoking gun.

Elsewhere in EHA’s emails, they admit to “shipment of samples of bats and other high-risk host species.”

Guess where was EHA planning to ship the bats and viruses?

Here’s the answer in their own words:

Whoa.

WHOA!!

EcoHealth Alliance openly admitted to sending bat samples from Laos to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, so the coronaviruses they contained could be studied.

This discovery makes the “lab leak” hypothesis even more plausible.

One thing’s for certain, though: EcoHealth Alliance is a dangerous group. It’s why the House and Senate have each voted to defund them.

But we can’t stop there. U.S. tax money should NEVER again be sent to the Wuhan Institute of Virology. That’s why it’s important for you to take action: tell your Members of Congress to cosponsor the Defund the Wuhan Institute of Virology Act!
