White Coat Waste Project just drew first blood against China’s cruel Fauci-funded animal labs under Trump 2.0, and the DOGE-father himself Elon Musk is joining us in celebrating!

Here’s how we did it: 

Since White Coat Waste Project first exposed and cut Dr. Fauci’s funding for the Wuhan animal lab in early 2020, we’ve been investigating and leading efforts in Washington to defund all animal testing labs in China (like this one abusing 300 beagles a week). 

Despite the gain-of-function disaster we documented in Wuhan, we’ve documented how dozens of Chinese animal labs continue to receive taxpayer dollars from federal agencies like the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Defense. 

One of the animal labs we’ve been investigating since 2021 has been the Chinese Communist Party-run China Medical University (CMU). We’ve been tracking CMU’s cruel malaria experiments on animals and just last year flagged the facility as one of the many NIH-funded Chinese labs that also performs heinous dog experiments.

Defunding all animal labs in China was at the top of our priority list for the Trump Administration and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and in January, we sent them a list of over $1 billion in NIH-funded animal experiments to put on the chopping block.

And, voila, instant impact!   

On February 28, DOGE announced that it had canceled the Fauci-funded NIH grant paying for CMU’s malaria experiments on bunnies and mice.

The National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Disease grant, approved by Dr. Fauci, received $135,000 last year and $677,000 since 2020.  It was wasted to infect rabbits with malaria and cover mice in mosquitoes so they could suck their blood.

Elon Musk was also on the Joe Rogan Experience last week and described animal tests exposed by WCW—including transgender animal tests and Fauci’s biting fly tests on beagles—as, “Mutilating animals in demented studies that are like the worst thing you can imagine from a horror show” and “psychotic.”
