More Winning: Trump Cuts $2.5M More Transgender Animal Tests Exposed by WCW

  • The Trump Administration just canceled two more National Institutes of Health grants exposed by White Coat Waste investigators that were funding cruel transgender experiments on animals.
  • The two now-defunct grants given to Harvard experimenters totaled $2.5 million and were paying to sterilize lab animals, inject them with hormones, and inflict wounds to mimic transgender humans undergoing gender reassignment surgeries and hormone therapies.
  • Trump and DOGE have now canceled nine transgender animal testing grants uncovered by WCW worth nearly $10 million.
  • WCW’s ongoing investigation has identified dozens of additional grants still funding transgender animal tests with money from the NIH, National Science Foundation, and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • WCW has sent DOGE billions more in wasteful government experiments on dogs, cats, and other animals to put on the chopping block.

UPDATE: March 28, 2025
President Trump and DOGE canceled another NIH grant funding cruel transgender animal experiments that were exposed by WCW. That makes ten such grants cut this month.

Original post: March 18, 2025

Earlier this month, the Trump Administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) canceled seven National Institutes of Health grants funding transgender animal tests that White Coat Waste investigators uncovered and flagged for the Department of Government Efficiency chopping block. DOGE also canceled Fauci-funded animal testing in China that WCW has been working to defund for years.

Now, the Trump Administration has canceled two more NIH grants worth $2.5 million that were funding cruel transgender animal experiments WCW first exposed in December 2024.

The now-defunct animal testing grants we exposed were awarded to Harvard University animal experimenters.

A $299,240 grant that was canceled was wasting tax money to create “transmasculine” animals by giving female mice testosterone and removing their ovaries and creating “transfeminine” animals by castrating male mice and injecting them with estrogen. The animals were then implanted with cancer cells.

Transgender Animal Tests Cut

According to grant documents obtained by WCW through the Freedom of Information Act, this project planned to kill over 1,500 animals in these cruel experiments.

Documents obtained by WCW via the Freedom of Information Act included this image of Harvard’s now-defunct transgender animal experiments and detailed how 1,580 mice were slated to be abused in the painful and deadly testing.

The
other NIH grant of $442,444 was awarded for painful wound healing experiments on animals by white coats who sterilize animals, inject them with hormone therapies, and then inflict wounds to mimic transgender humans receiving gender-affirming surgeries. Before its cancelation, this animal testing grant was scheduled to run through 2029 and receive $2.2 million.

Transgender Animal Tests Cut

With these additional cuts, Trump and DOGE have now canceled nine transgender animal testing grants exposed by WCW worth nearly $10 million.

Cutting these nine NIH grants also prevented the abuse of thousands of animals and over $10 million in future spending!

This is a great victory for taxpayers and animals!

As reported this weekend, WCW’s ongoing investigation of federal spending has identified dozens of additional grants funding inhumane transgender animal tests with money from NIH, the National Science Foundation, and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Despite the mainstream media’s shameful misinformation campaign, transgender animal experiments are real—and really wasteful—and our investigation has secured the receipts for more active grants that still need to be cut.

The solution is simple:
