Another taxpayer win—another White Coat Waste victory!
Following a WCW investigation and campaign, President Trump’s Agriculture Secretary, Brooke Rollins, has informed Congress that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is ending its dangerous collaboration with China on maximum pain bird flu gain-of-function experiments.
Rollins made the announcement earlier this month during the USDA’s budget hearing in response to questions from Congressman Ben Cline (VA-R) that cited documents obtained through WCW’s investigation.
Early last year, WCW first exposed how the Biden USDA wasted $1 million of taxpayers’ money on a reckless collaboration with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the parent organization of the Wuhan animal lab—yes, that lab. These dangerous experiments aimed to supercharge bird flu viruses to see if they could jump from birds to mammals.
Actual photos of animal testing inside the USDA lab. Uncovered by a White Coat Waste investigation.
Records obtained by WCW through the Freedom of Information Act proved that animals—some just one day old—were subjected to painful, “severe” experiments without any pain relief, resulting in death and suffering.
Thanks to our investigations, grassroots action, successful lobbying, coalition-building, and pressure from bipartisan lawmakers led by DOGE Senate Caucus Chair Sen. Joni Ernst (IA-R) and Agriculture Appropriations Committee member Rep. Ben Cline (VA-R), the USDA is finally pulling the plug on this reckless research.
This is the latest in a series of WCW victories under the Trump Administration against Uncle Sam’s wasteful and cruel foreign animal experiments. But our work isn’t done.
We’re urging Congress to pass the AFAR Act and permanently defund all taxpayer-funded animal labs in China, Russia, and other hostile nations.
Any kind of violence is NOT science and it will NEVER be. We are not stupid, so, stop lying.
