Last month, we sued the Department of Justice over its “live tissue training” exercises—for which your tax dollars are spent to stab, shoot, burn, and dismember live animals

Now a brand new poll shows most Americans are on our side. The June 2020 national survey of 1,000 taxpayers finds that 63 percent support White Coat Waste Project’s efforts with Congress to defund the DOJ’s live tissue training exerciseswhich even the Defense Department has criticized as “outdated and cost-prohibitive.”

Just 21 percent of respondents said they were opposed to Congress cutting off funding.

There’s good reason for these poll results, given the details that truly seem out of a horror movie. (Seriously, is this how you want your hard-earned money spent? No, we didn’t think so.)

We’ve given you the details before, and they’re awful. Pigs, goats, and sometimes even dogs are purposely and violently inflicted with traumatic injuries, including cutting off animals’ limbs to simulate traumatic injuries so trainees can allegedly practice human medical skills. Many animals die during the crude “training.” Even those who survive, are killed at the end.

We’ll keep you posted as we have more details.

You can help by signing our petition calling on the DOJ to stop wasteful and deadly live tissue training on animals.
