  • WCW has uncovered how a shady Maryland zoo whose curator was an NIH animal experimenter shipped off bats to a deadly NIH virus superlab overseen by Dr. Fauci
  • Fauci’s NIH lab in Montana spent millions to infect bats with a coronavirus first obtained by the Wuhan Lab—one year before COVID. Then it killed the animals.
  • The deadly bat experiment was funded with NIH grants that have received over $20 million in taxpayer money to date, one of which is still active
  • WCW recently exposed how the same NIH virus lab conducts maximum pain experiments on baby pigs and primates from Fauci’s Monkey Island
  • The White Coat Waste Project (WCW) was the very first group to expose how U.S. taxpayers funded the Wuhan Lab

Just in time for Halloween, the U.S. Senate has unanimously passed a bipartisan resolution led by Waste Warrior awardee Sen. Mike Braun (R-IN) and Sen. Peter Welch (D-VT) designating October 24-31 as Bat Week.

White Coat Waste Project’s (WCW) newest investigation highlights that bats need all the help they can get to protect them from government abuse.

We’ve uncovered new details about how a shady roadside zoo whose curator was an NIH animal experimenter shipped off bats to a deadly government virus superlab to be infected with a coronavirus collected from a bat cave in China by the notorious Wuhan lab that experts believe caused COVID.

Located in Thurmont, Maryland, about an hour outside of Washington, DC, Catoctin Wildlife Preserve (CWP) has a history of animal welfare violations. One recent visitor left a one-star review and wrote, “How is this place even legal?! I left heart broken and sad.” It even earned a “poor” rating from Charity Navigator.

Federal records obtained by WCW show that CWP confined 523 federally-regulated animals as of April 2023, including 241 bats. Below are actual photos of some of the bats kept there.

Confinement at a crummy roadside zoo isn’t the worst of what’s in store for these animals, though. We’ve uncovered how the person who is the zoo’s curator and in charge of the animals’ well-being, CWP’s “Director of Animal Health,” worked at the in-house animal testing labs at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) from 2003-2012!

And, you guessed it, under their supervision, CWP shipped animals to an NIH in-house lab, then run by Dr. Anthony Fauci, for cruel and deadly experiments!

This paper authored by white coats at the NIH’s virus superlab in Montana and Wuhan lab gain-of-function collaborator Ralph Baric details how experimenters from Dr. Fauci’s NIAID obtained bats from CWP and tried to infect them with a strain of coronavirus collected from a bat cave in China by the Wuhan Institute of Virology and EcoHealth Alliance!

The bats were then killed and dissected. This study was first flagged by our friends at DRASTIC and others working to investigate the COVID lab leak.

The NIH experiment on bats from the shady CWP was funded with NIH grants that have received over $20 million in taxpayer dollars to date, the larger of which is still being bankrolled with our money!

WCW has submitted Freedom of Information Act requests to the NIH for more details about this experiment and its procurement of zoo animals for deadly experiments, but the NIH has refused to turn over documents and we are fighting for their release.

WCW recently uncovered how this same NIH virus superlab conducts deadly and dangerous maximum pain virus experiments on animals, including on baby pigs and primates shipped from Dr. Fauci’s Monkey Island. We’ve also exposed ties between this NIH lab and the disgraced EcoHealth Alliance.

Deadly virus experiments on zoo animals at a risky government biolab? Infesting abandoned pets with biting insects for painful and terminal tests? Is this how you want your money spent?
