  • Citing White Coat Waste investigations, President Donald Trump and DOGE just cut $8 million in funding for cruel transgender experiments on animals.
  • In his State of the Union address, Trump called out the testing exposed by WCW and criticized “$8 million for making mice transgender”.
  • The White House’s press release about the victory cited and linked to WCW’s investigation to prove that taxpayers funded these transgender animal tests.
  • This victory marks the second time in a week that DOGE cut cruel government animal testing exposed by WCW.
  • WCW has sent DOGE billions more in wasteful government experiments on dogs, cats, and others to put on the chopping block.

UPDATE: March 18, 2025
President Trump and DOGE canceled more NIH grants funding cruel transgender animal experiments that were exposed by WCW.

Just last week, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) cut a Fauci-funded grant uncovered by White Coat Waste that was paying for cruel and deadly malaria experiments on mice and rabbits in China.

Now, DOGE has slashed $8 million in wasteful and inhumane transgender animal tests exposed by WCW.

Since last year when WCW first exposed hundreds of millions in wasteful government spending on cruel transgender animal experiments, our ongoing investigation has been the subject of viral media and social media attention, conversation between Joe Rogan and Elon Musk, and even the focus of a high-profile Congressional hearing led by Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC).

This week, our investigation made it to the Oval Office. In his March 4 State of the Union address, President Donald Trump remarked, “Listen to the appalling waste we have already identified — $8 million for making mice transgender. This is real.”

The next morning, DOGE announced that it had cut seven National Institutes of Health grants funding transgender animal tests exposed by WCW.

The White House’s press release about the victory cited and linked to WCW’s investigation to prove that “the National Institutes of Health doled out millions of dollars in taxpayer-funded grants for institutions across the country to perform transgender experiments on mice.”

The seven canceled grants were funding experiments in which mice were subjected to gender-affirming hormone therapies and then injected with vaccines and drugs, given cancer, and other abuses.

Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA), who helped us expose the NIH’s transgender animal tests last year, celebrated the win and posted details about the now-defunct projects.

Many people and the press are in disbelief about this senseless spending. But, we’ve been publishing receipts for months.

Here are some direct quotes from some of the NIH grants that were just cut:

The White House and Elon Musk both shared WCW’s evidence to educate skeptics and press spreading misinformation:

Cutting funding for cruel and wasteful animal experiments is our top priority for the Trump Administration and DOGE.
