  • Following WCW investigations, last week Congress introduced the bipartisan PAAW Act to defund ALL painful NIH cat and dog tests, which are opposed by over 70% of taxpayers.
  • The PAAW Act is the first bill ever introduced by Congress to completely defund painful NIH testing on dogs and cats
  • Press and policymakers praised the PAAW Act & WCW’s advocacy for pets in NIH-funded labs

Citing White Coat Waste Project (WCW) investigations, last week Reps. Nancy Mace (R-SC) and Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) introduced the Preventing Animal Abuse and Waste (PAAW) Act to defund all of the National Institutes of Health’s painful experiments on dogs and cats and require more transparency and accountability about all its testing on pets.

WCW has exposed how the NIH is the government’s worst offender when it comes to bankrolling painful experiments on pets and the WCW-backed PAAW Act is the first bill ever introduced by Congress to completely defund this waste and abuse.

News of this life-saving and cost-saving bill made headlines across the country:
